London

We spent the afternoon at Abi & Jan's house today. This is their new dog London. She is a 12 week old boxer and adorable. Our kids just loved her!! I took these pictures of her for an assignment for my photography class I am taking. What a gentle dog she was. Quinn can not wait to have a dog of his own. Maybe the next time you visit the Knecht house, a dog may greeting you at the door!!

Childrens Garden

We spent Saturday and Sunday at Grandma Barb & Grandpa Rich's house. On Saturday we spent the day at the Children's Garden. This place in amazing! You can walk in streams, climb on just about anything, play in water, touch and discover nature. There is so much to do and see. You go from area to area, each displaying something different.

All three kids were pretty wet when the day was over. We brought a beach towel and a change of clothing. This was something we learned from last year. When water is involved expect the worse!!

The boys found a frog in the water when they were building a dam. Claire did not remember much from last year but she figured things out as we went along. She wasn't sure about climbing on the rocks but daddy made sure she was safe.

Claire Annie's First Day of School

Today Claire started her first day of Preschool at Mt. Carmel. Her best friend Makenna is in her class with her. She was very excited and willing to go. Once we arrived at school I showed her around the room and where to put her things.

Claire was excited the toilets were tiny and the sink she could reach. She was able to recognize her name (thank god) and placed her card on the board. She gave me a big hug and kiss and waved good bye..

I on the other hand can not believe she is gone. She is such a big girl now!! Driving back home from dropping her off was very quiet. My chatter box was not singing in the back of the car!
Walking into the house was amazing, it was quiet and I couldn't believe no one else was here. This is a first for me! With doing daycare for six years and the rushing around to get the kids off to school and out of the house in the morning so I could get ready for my work day. WOW what a change!!
I have several things planned for myself on the days Claire goes to school. I will be helping out in the boy's classrooms, I joined the PTO, grocery shop during the day (Yeah) and hope to get caught up on my Creative Memory. I'm sure more things will come my way as the school year gets under way.

And They Are OFF

It was a very early start this morning at the Knecht house. The kids and I had to get up at 6:15 this morning. We are an early start school therefore the kids have to be outside and at the bus stop by 7:00 a.m.. Both were very excited! Drew hopped out of bed right away. Quinn on the other hand loves his sleep and had a slower start.

Quinn started Kindergarten today and is in Mrs. McDermotts room. He was very excited to see what big school is all about. I believe he was most excited about riding the big yellow school bus. His picture below is very cute waving good bye to mom.

Drew's first words out of his mouth this morning was "Mom I can't believe I have a desk in first grade! Will I have one in second grade to?"
