Sleeping Beauty

We had some friends over last night for dinner. The kids were outside playing with their friend Josh & Jacob. Earlier I had put Claire on the stairs for a time out because she hit Quinn. I guess I forgot about her and this was what we found a while after. I believe she took about a half hour nap in this position on the stairs.

This was the first time we had the Hoenings over for dinner and Rhonda was the one who found Claire asleep. She asked if this happened a lot. I could only wish!!

Mohawk

What is it with boy's and wanting a MOHAWK? Drew has been begging for one all summer long. We decided this was a great time for him to enjoy one.

Tonight is the Bradford/Tremper football game and we are hoping this mohawk brings good luck to the team. All of us will be there supporting the "NORTHSIDE"!!

If you have nothing going on tonight the game is at 7:00 at Carthage college. But beware you will have to get there early for a seat. We are the game of the week, there will be helicopters landing, firework display at half time and a huge amount of fans cheering on Coach Kennedy and the Bradford football team.

Mouth Injury

This is not the best picture of Quinn but he had a wipe out today on his bike. He was riding his bike at Kate & Kyle's birthday party and went to make a turn and went down for the count. Of course there was a lot of blood and Steve & Teena initially thought it was his other front tooth. I was not present at the time - which was a good thing!! After they stopped the bleeding they looked in his mouth and his remaining top tooth was still in place. He bit into his lip in 3 different places and ripped his frenulum inside his mouth. We watched his lip grow and turn purple and black. We will see what it looks like in the morning. I am hoping it looks better for his open house on Thursday where he will see his teacher Mrs. McDermott. Only time will tell!!

The Wirch Wedding

Yesterday two of our closest friends were married - Jeff & Kristin Wirch. It was a beautiful day for a wedding. Jeff & Kristin really out did themselves! From the church ceremony, to the flowers which they grew themselves, to the great slide show. Everything was awesome. We had a great time with all of our friends. Congratulations - We love you both.

Lake Michigan

The kids had a good time skipping rocks and playing in the sand. We had to watch out for all the goose poop. They can't wait to go back again.

Petrifying Springs

I spent the morning at Petrifying Springs taking pictures of Drew, Quinn & Claire. The McKinnon kids also joined us. We had a good morning and everyone followed directions. The only down fall to the morning was Quinn got stung by two bees on his leg. Claire got stung by one bee on her chest. We had some big tears. This was both of Quinn & Claire's first bee sting. I think the pictures turned out really good. Take a look!

Splish Splash

What a great day to hang out at Auntie Annie and Uncle John's pool. The weather was perfect and the pool was warm. I don't know who had a better time, the kids or the adults! We hope to have a few more of these days before summer vacation is over.
